Shopping Malls are developing into much more than retail space but are also acting as entertainment centers where families and friends can spend a day off to enjoy themselves. Now, Miami International Mall will be joining the party. While Dolphin Mall boasts a Dave & Busters, Aventura features a massive slide tower, and The Falls offers country club attractions along with vintage arcade games, these examples prove that modern success for malls means combining retail with immersive entertainment.
The Miami Herald shares that Elev8 Fun will be opening at the Miami International Mall. Elev8 Fun is a large-scale indoor entertainment complex that will take over the former Kohl’s department store. Spanning 110,000 square-feet, the indoor adventure park will host go-kart tracks, mini golf, a dozen bowling lanes, an arcade, and a full service restaurant. It will also offer a fitness center, combining recreation with wellness.
Elev8 Fun is run by the same team behind Xtreme Action Park, located in Fort Lauderdale, so visitors can expect similar activities and excitement. Their other locations in Tampa and Sanford offer other activities like zip-lining, laser tag and more. While there hasn’t been an official date announced yet, the Miami Herald reports that the venue will debut by the end of 2025.
