Elev8 Fun Brings “Retailtainment” to Miami International Mall
Elev8 Fun is set to make its debut at Miami International Mall within the next year, marking a significant shift in how traditional shopping malls are evolving. This new addition is a key example of retailtainment at Miami International Mall, combining shopping and immersive entertainment under one roof. Elev8 Fun will occupy the old Kohl’s department store, transforming the 110,000-square-foot space into an entertainment center for all ages.
David Goldfard, the founder of Elev8 Fun, told the Miami Herald that the Miami International Mall stood out due to its prime location, strong tenant lineup, and its connection to the surrounding community. With consistent foot traffic and a diverse shopper demographic, the mall offers the perfect setting for Elev8 Fun to continue its expansion. In addition, it helps position retailtainment at Miami International Mall as a leading trend in the region.
Nationwide, the demand for indoor entertainment centers is surging. According to Allied Market Research, entertainment centers in malls generated $30.9 billion in revenue across the U.S. in 2022. That number is projected to climb to $88.7 billion by 2032. This growth is sparked by Gen Z and young millennials who are seeking immersive, viral experiences that go beyond traditional shopping. Elev8 Fun taps directly into this demand by offering attractions like games that are themed around popular franchises like Spider-Man.
As retail continues to evolve, Elev8 Fun is showing how malls can become hubs of connection, activity, and innovation for the next generation.
